Citizens’ Assembly (Ca) is actively looking for a full time Advocacy/Publications Manager to be employed in a newly-started two year project, to start immediately.

The project focuses on supporting civic engagement and democratic governance on local/regional and macro level public policy processes, which are ongoing across three water basins in Turkey, the Meriç-Ergene, Marmara and Susurluk. It is funded by the European Union, under the framework of the Instrument for Pre-accession (IPA) Phase II.

The responsibilities and qualifications required of the Advocacy/Publications Manager are described below.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing project communications and an advocacy strategy, in collaboration with the project team and in consultation with stakeholders,
  • Coordinating and implementing the project advocacy plan and organizing related activities,
  • Organizing/conducting communications amongst parties involved in the project process,
  • Managing the production and delivery of publications and other communication/information outputs,
  • Coordinating media/communication services to be procured,
  • Working in close coordination/cooperation with the Project Coordinator in the realization of project activities/outputs, and in project management and reporting.

Minimum qualifications:

  • University degree,
  • At least 3 years experience in a similar position (preferably with a CSO),
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills,
  • Excellent command of Turkish and English,
  • Excellent organization and reporting skills,
  • Experience in advocacy strategy and associated material/publication development and delivery,
  • Excellent knowledge of word processor, spreadsheets, presentation softwares
